Learning Technologies 2023 - Your first 100 days as an L&D manager - lessons on success and survival.

At Learning Technologies 2023, 3-4 May in London, Lavinia Mehedintu, Co-Founder and Learning Architect, Offbeat and Karolina Roziewicz, a Learning Strategist & Designer, will help learning professionals to navigate the first three months of management.

It’s your first job as an L&D manager. Maybe you’ve been promoted in your team, maybe you’re in a new organisation. Whatever your situation, you have limited time to make an impact and prove your worth. That’s where this session comes in.

In three months you can deliver some important wins, establish credibility and lay a foundation for what follows. None of this will happen by chance, but it is certainly achievable if you stick to some principles and carry out the key activities that we outline here. Drawing on personal experience and research, we look at the importance of building the right relationships, how to really understand the business, and what to commit yourself to, when.

Learning Technologies Conference Chair, Donald H Taylor, said: “Have you just been promoted to a management role in L&D? Or are you about to be promoted? Or do you plan to be promoted? If so, this session is gold. Heck, even if you’re already managing a department, we reckon you’ll find some useful tips here – practical stuff here about building your networks, choosing where you act, and developing your reputation so that you’re doing a great job and delivering great value.”

Lavinia Mehedintu and Karolina Roziewicz's session, Your first 100 days as an L&D manager - lessons on success and survival, takes place on day two of the conference, 4 May, and covers:

  • The power of the right sort of conversation
  • How and when to say “No”
  • Why your worst enemy can sometimes be your best ally
  • When you should move fast, and when you need to go slow
  • The vital importance of communications

The full programme is available on the event website: Learning Technologies 2023 Conference. Conference passes are on sale: Learning Technologies 2023 Conference Conference Passes.

Your Conference Pass includes all conference tracks and theatres, networking lunch and drinks and full access to both days of the exhibition. There are two ticket types, including our premium option for those looking to get the most out of your experience at Learning Technologies.
