Learning Technologies 2023 - Artificial Intelligence changes everything in L&D.

At Learning Technologies 2023, 3-4 May in London, the conference will hear from learning tech entrepreneur and author of AI for Learning, Donald Clark.

Learning Technologies Conference Chair, Donald H Taylor, said: “It is difficult to overstate the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the way we live and learn in the future, and the way we carry out our roles as L&D professionals. We’ve come a long way from being surprised at Amazon’s guessing what you’d like to read next. From Chat GPT to networked knowledge, this session Donald Clark lays bare how AI will transform our lives – and where it already has.”

Artificial Intelligence is the technology of our age. It will change how we live and work and so will change what we learn, why we learn, where we learn and how we learn.

Generative tools such as Chat GPT have grabbed the headlines but Donald will show how AI has much wider applications and can be used across the entire learning journey. This includes learner engagement, skills prediction across organisations, learner support, content creation, content curation, personalised learning and assessment and learning analytics.

Drawing on his actual experience in delivering AI for learning and his book ‘AI for Learning’, he will use real examples to illustrate each of these, as well as the upskilling needed by learning designers and professionals, ending on near and future developments.

Donald Clark’s session, Artificial Intelligence changes everything in L&D, takes place on day one of the conference, 3 May, and covers:

  • AI changes how we live and work
  • AI will change all aspects of learning design and delivery
  • AI requires learning professionals to upskill
  • Near, medium and far developments
