Upskilling in Data Analytics – How to Get Started?

LondonLearning NewsLearning Technologies

Learning Technologies Digital Experience 2.0, 21 June to 2 July, is to help learning professionals with data analytics, one of the top priorities for L&D in 2021.

Upskilling and reskilling our workforce has been a long time coming. In addition to Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, and automation’s impacts on employment, the global pandemic has exacerbated the speed of change. More than ever, we need to better prepare ourselves and our organizations to adjust work practices, take on additional tasks, and in some instances pivot to new responsibilities altogether.

Among the broad range of knowledge and skills, the ability to understand data and apply insights gained from analytics has been in great demand. Particularly, learning professionals need to take on a leadership role in applying good data analytics practices, asking relevant questions, auditing data-informed decision making, and safeguarding any potential bias in data.

Having good data skills does not mean that we all become data scientists. However, having an evidence-based mindset and the openness to engage in a discussion is a good start.

Stella Lee from Paradox Learning will lead a webinar at LTDX 2.0 exploring some of these topics and learning how to improve our data analytics skills. In this webinar, we will discuss:

  • What are data analytics and data literacy?

  • How to use data analytics for learning and performance support

  • How to get started if I don’t have any data analytics skill

  • Where can I learn more

Stella Lee’s session, 'Upskilling in Data Analytics – How to Get Started?', takes place during week one on Friday 25 June at 15:45 BST.
