You’re investing in your people. Hiring. Developing. Training. But growth still feels hard to find from the inside.

And when employees can’t see what’s next, they start to look elsewhere.

A new webinar from Learning Pool will explore why career visibility has become one of the biggest drivers of retention. And what organizations can do to fix it.

Taking place on July 1, 2026, the session unpacks the relationship between career growth, skills visibility, internal mobility, and employee engagement. The message is simple. Employees aren’t leaving because they expect too much. They’re leaving because progress is hard to see.

Skills sit in different systems. Career paths feel unclear. Development conversations happen too late.

As organizations scale, the pressure increases. Employees are expected to learn faster, adapt more quickly, and take on broader responsibilities. But employees can’t see how their skills connect to what’s next and future opportunities.

The webinar will explore how leading organizations are addressing that challenge by making skills more visible, creating meaningful development opportunities, and helping employees navigate clearer career pathways.

Attendees will learn:

  • Why invisible growth opportunities drive attrition
  • How skills visibility supports internal mobility
  • What high-retention organizations do differently
  • How clearer career pathways improve engagement and retention

The session will feature Jay Sharp, Chief Human Resources Officer at Learning Pool, and David Murray, Senior Director of Product (Performance Management) at Learning Pool.

Jay Sharp brings more than 17 years of human resources experience, including a decade supporting private equity-backed organizations through periods of growth and transformation. His work focuses on building people strategies that help organizations scale while developing capability and supporting continuous learning.

David Murray is a recognized voice in performance management and talent development. As founder of Confirm, acquired by Learning Pool earlier this year, he has spent more than 15 years helping organizations improve performance, strengthen accountability, and create more effective approaches to talent development. His work has been featured in Forbes and leading HR publications.

The discussion will focus on a growing challenge facing employers: employees want to grow, but many organizations make that growth difficult to see. When skills, development opportunities, and career pathways are disconnected, retention suffers. Organizations that make progression clearer are seeing stronger engagement, greater internal mobility, and improved retention outcomes.

The webinar will take place on July 1, 2026, at 8:00am. PT / 11:00am  ET / 4:00pm BST.

Registration is now open.
