Leading e-learning supplier Learning Pool has announced that the BBC Academy’s Head of Online, Myles Runham, will share his expertise with Learning Pool Live delegates in London this October.

Now in their fifth year, the Learning Pool Live events bring inspiration, practical advice and a lot of fun in equal measure. Learning Pool will be going on tour throughout the UK and providing an opportunity for delegates to take away tried and tested e-learning strategies.

Myles will join Steve Wheeler and Denise Hudson-Lawson on 23 October 2013 and put the subject ‘The web has shown the way, e-learning needs to follow to be relevant’ out for debate.

With 'Develop the Possibilities' as the theme, Learning Pool Live will also be running in Sheffield on 9 October and Cardiff on 16 October with hundreds of learning and development professionals from across the UK public and private sectors already signed up.

Myles has been working in and around the internet and the web for around 15 years. Prior to joining the BBC, he worked at the search engine Ask.com (AKA Ask Jeeves) managing the European and UK presence of the business.

The last five years have been spent at the BBC, first as Head of Interactive Learning running the teams providing digital services for school pupils, teachers and parents and currently as Head of Online for the BBC Academy, managing all digital and online activity of the professional learning and development functions for staff and the industry.
