The Learning Awards 2019 finalists are announced

WorldwideLearning NewsLPI (Learning and Performance Institute)

The Learning and Performance Institute is proud to announce the finalists for the 2019 Learning Awards, the learning sector’s annual celebration of outstanding achievement, best practice and excellence in corporate learning and performance.

Finalists for the 2019 Learning Awards, representing the highest achieving individuals and organisations in the field of learning and development, were announced today by the Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) after the initial round of judging was concluded last week. The 15 awards categories attracted hundreds of entries from around the globe, with submissions from many of the world’s leading brands received alongside first-time submissions from emerging learning providers. Every shortlisted finalist has demonstrated exceptional performance and contribution to the learning profession.

Speaking about the companies chosen as finalists, LPI CEO Edmund Monk said: "I am always fascinated to see which organisations have been selected as finalists, and this year has been no exception. Once again, there are household names and global brands competing in the same category as smaller, regional companies - an indication that quality, innovation and talent is thriving across the learning sector, from the largest organisation to the smallest. To make the finals of the Learning Awards is a tremendous achievement and, for those who are shortlisted and those who eventually win, the experience often leads to career-changing opportunities as companies and individuals are sought out for their experience and innovation.

"Now in its 23rd year, the heritage and reputation of The Learning Awards is unrivalled and it continues to be the first event that’s marked on the L&D calendar. With the event being live-streamed globally from the prestigious Dorchester hotel in London, all the finalists can look forward to an evening of celebration that will raise their profiles on the global stage. I'd like to congratulate everyone who was shortlisted and wish them the very best of luck as they prepare for the next round of judging."

Shortlisted entries will now be required to present their submissions to a panel of independent judges during judging week, hosted at RICOH UK in London later this month.

The winner of the Colin Corder Award (sponsored by Fuse Universal) for significant and lasting contribution to learning will be announced at the ceremony.

The Learning Awards is proud to support this year’s nominated charity Dreamflight. Dreamflight is a registered UK charity that changes young lives through taking seriously ill and disabled children, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida. A charity auction (sponsored by Blue Eskimo) will take place before the awards presentation to raise money for the organisation.

The Learning Awards ceremony takes place at the prestigious Dorchester hotel in London's Park Lane on Thursday 7th February 2019.

Places may be booked via Pauline Saunders at [email protected] or on +44 (0)2476 496 210.

The Learning Awards are hosted by The Learning and Performance Institute, the UK’s leading Institute for workplace learning professionals. For further information visit http://thelearningawards.com and https://www.thelpi.org/the-learning-awards-2019-finalists/
