The Learning Awards 2017 finalists are announced

UKLearning NewsLPI (Learning and Performance Institute)

The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) is proud to announce the finalists for the 2017 Learning Awards, the learning sector’s annual celebration of outstanding achievement, best practice and excellence in corporate learning and performance.

Finalists for the 2017 Learning Awards, representing the highest achieving individuals and organisations in the field of learning and development, were announced today by the Learning and Performance Institute. The 14 awards categories received hundreds of entries from around the globe, and included submissions from many of the world’s leading brands, alongside first-time submissions from emerging technology providers. Every shortlisted finalist has demonstrated exceptional performance and contribution to the learning profession.

Paying tribute to the support of the learning community for cementing the position of The Learning Awards as the sector's leading awards ceremony, LPI Managing Director, Edmund Monk, said: "The heritage and reputation of The Learning Awards is unrivalled. For those who are shortlisted and those who eventually win, the experience often leads to career-changing opportunities as companies and individuals are sought out for their experience and innovation.

"The depth and quality of submissions continues to rise and I'm delighted to see that business performance improvement features heavily in the submissions. It seems that our message is getting through and learning professionals are moving away from being training course order-takers and evolving into trusted advisors to the business.

“I'd like to offer my congratulations to all the Finalists and look forward to seeing them at The Dorchester on 2nd February 2017. To those who did not make the finals they should know that, with such fierce competition, they have not failed but should be proud of their achievements. If they continue working with the business, continue raising standards and continue to innovate, we can hopefully welcome them to a future Learning Awards."

The Learning Awards ceremony takes place at the prestigious Dorchester hotel in London's Park Lane on Thursday 2nd February 2017.

Places may be booked via Pauline Saunders at [email protected] or on +44 (0)2476 496 210.

The winner of the Colin Corder Award (sponsored by Pluralsight) for significant and lasting contribution to learning will be announced at the ceremony.

Shortlisted entries will now be required to present their submissions to a panel of independent judges during judging week, hosted at The Grange City Hotel in London later this month.

The Learning Awards is proud to support this year’s nominated charity Dreamflight. Dreamflight is a registered UK charity that changes young lives through taking seriously ill and disabled children, without their parents, on the holiday of a lifetime to Orlando, Florida. A charity auction will take place before the awards presentation to raise money for the organisation.

The Learning Awards are hosted by The Learning and Performance Institute, the UK’s leading Institute for workplace learning professionals. For further information visit http://thelearningawards.com
