The Learning and Performance Institute is once again a proud event partner of Learning Technologies, and will be exhibiting at the show next week.

The Learning and Performance Institute are proud to be an event partner of Learning Technologies for another consecutive year, and will be exhibiting at the show to be held at Olympia, London on 29th and 30th January next week.

Delegates will be able to locate the Learning and Performance Institute on Stand 192 in the exhibition. Visitors to the stand will be able to talk with the LPI team and learn more about the services offered by the Institute, including the benefits of LPI membership and our Certification programmes such as the new Certificate in Designing Online Learning (CDOL) course, which was launched before Christmas and has had a very encouraging uptake with the first course dates already sold out.

Michelle Parish, an LPI Consultant and lead facilitator on the new CDOL course as well as its sister course, the popular COLF certification said: “To quote a saying from a film, ‘if you build it they will come!’ But for ‘live’ online learning events, that is not strictly true – the learners may come but will they stay? Will they be engaged and will learning transfer occur? For live online learning events, it’s not simply a matter of pulling a few slides together. It’s about how that session should be built and the considerations that go into building an engaging and collaborative experience – an experience that will retain your learners for the duration of the session and enable the learner to meet session objectives. If you want to know how – visit the LPI team on stand 192 for more details on CDOL.”

Donald Taylor, Chairman of the Learning and Performance Institute, and also Chair of the Learning Technologies Conference, said: “2014 is shaping up as a really exciting year, I never cease to be surprised and amazed with the innovation I see all around in learning and development. There’s much to learn: business is placing greater demands on L&D; learners are learning in an ever-increasing variety of ways; the commercial sector is responding with greater innovation. The January 2014 event will perhaps be most important for those who want to get ahead and lead the change that can help to make learning experiences better in the future.”

The LPI team will be happy to chat with anyone who drops by the stand, but if you would like to make sure that someone will be available for a more in-depth conversation, please get in touch ahead of time at [email protected] to arrange a dedicated time-slot.
