Call for Entries for The IT Training Awards 2010

Learning NewsLPI (Learning and Performance Institute)

It’s that time again, to start compiling your entries for the IT training industry’s most prestigious awards event, the IT Training Awards 2010, sponsored by the British Computer Society. These awards are established as the benchmark for excellence in the IT training industry, and will take place in a glittering ceremony on Thursday 4th February 2010 in The Ballroom of The Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London. For full details please visit the dedicated website http://www.ittrainingawards.co.uk/

Entering the IT Training Awards is easy; simply follow the instructions outlined below:

Who can enter?

Any company, organisation or individual may provide one entry per category. There are no charges for entries. You will need to complete the IT Training Awards entry form, which can be downloaded from: http://www.ittrainingawards.co.uk/

Which category should I enter?

There are 14 categories: Training Company of the Year, Training Department of the Year, Training Department of the Year (Public Sector), Internal Training Project of the Year, External Training Project of the Year, Training Venue of the Year, Staff Development Programme of the Year, Innovation in Training Services, Training Manager of the Year, Freelance Trainer of the Year, Trainer of the Year, Colin Corder Award for Contribution to IT Training and 2 new awards for 2010, Learning Technologies Solution of the Year and Instructional Designer of the Year. So you will need to choose the appropriate category(ies) carefully. Read through the description and judging notes on the website for each award category and check that it matches your entry. If you are unsure about which category(ies) to enter, contact Sarah Falconer at [email protected], who will be happy to help you.

What should I include?

Your entry form must be accompanied by your submission document, which roughly outlines the headings of your award’s judging criteria. Your entry should be no longer than 3,000 words and closing date for entries is 30th September 2009.

What happens next?

We believe that the best way that an entrant can do justice to their submission is to have the opportunity to make a formal presentation to the independent judging panel and to be able to answer any questions the judges may have. Each short-listed entrant will receive written confirmation, by the 16th November, of their time slot for presenting to the judging panel.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please do not hesitate to contact Sarah Falconer on 0845 006 8858 or [email protected]
