City & Guilds announced as Towards Maturity Ambassadors

City & Guilds has become the most recent addition to a growing number of Towards Maturity Ambassadors. They join an impressive collection of organisations working as ambassadors for change, identifying and improving good practices, raising awareness and driving the learning industry forward.

Towards Maturity is a not-for-profit organisation, which aims to provide independent practical research in the application of learning innovation. The Ambassadors support the production of an annual Benchmark Study, which is considered the most comprehensive independent review of the effective use of learning technologies in the workplace around the globe.  

As Ambassadors, the City & Guilds Group, which now includes leaders in e-learning Kineo, is identified as sharing Towards Maturity’s core missions and goals:

  • Encouraging learning innovation that directly impacts results in the workplace
  • Building on, acknowledging and contributing to collective good practice
  • Supporting the learning and education of others
  • Building transparent, trusted and open relationships with those we work with
  • Encouraging excellence from within
  • Celebrating success

Commenting on joining the programme, Chris Stephens, Head of City & Guilds for Business, commented:  “At City & Guilds, our aim is to help people and organisations develop their skills for personal and economic growth. The Ambassador Programme allows us to be part of a fantastic group of organisations working together; to share our experiences and partake in research that can really help businesses across the globe achieve a measurable difference.”

Kineo, which became part of the City & Guilds Group in December 2012, will represent City & Guilds as part of the Towards Maturity ‘Bright Ideas’ campaign at Learning Technologies 2013 in London next week.
