City & Guilds and Kineo to Share Innovations in Workplace Learning
City & Guilds and Kineo have recently partnered on a major new initiative for learning in the workplace and beyond. The solution brings together City & Guilds' strength and quality in qualification and learner support with Kineo's innovation in learning technology. The programme will be explained in a Learning and Skills Group Webinar entitled ‘From Isolated Courses to Integrated Learning' on Dec 6th.
Training at work has changed significantly recently. Learners and employers are under increasing time pressure. They want access to learning when they need it, and expect an engaging and relevant learning experience. Anyone supporting learning and development knows this – whether it’s an internal training department, a training provider or a community college. Too often L&D departments have to work in isolation, but increasingly organisations are collaborating to provide a better, faster service that fits straitened budgets better.
City & Guilds, global leader in vocational qualifications, and Kineo, global e-learning services company, have partnered to create a new approach to addressing these challenges for employers and providers, called 'The City & Guilds Way'.
Working together, awarding body City & Guilds and Kineo have made it possible for employers, learners and deliverers to reach relevant learning and learning support that goes well beyond the traditional classroom course. Blending guidance, learning journeys and community tools as well as assessment and tutor and coaching support, the ‘City & Guilds Way’ allows L&D departments to reach a wide range of learning resources from a range of providers.
Kirstie Donnelly, City & Guilds Product Development Director, and Stephen Walsh, Kineo Director, are hosting the webinar, exploring the major new initiative providing a different and new approach to vocational education.
The webinar, will cover:
- The changing world of vocational training
- Putting mobile and games to use
- Supporting learners beyond course provision
- Using qualifications to help employee development
- Next steps
