e2train counts awards on both sides of the Atlantic
e2train did the e-learning industry equivalent of winning an Oscar and a Bafta after content developed by its team won prizes at the leading award ceremonies in both the US and the UK in the same week.
e2train, a leading provider of learning and performance technologies, had a double celebration after different content developed by its team won two prestigous awards within a single week.
The first award went to PMI (Process Management International) and essential.genius. The e2train developed content scooped a Silver award at the Brandon Hall Excellence in Learning Awards for its Lean Essentials e-Learning Series. This was quickly followed by the E-learning Age Awards, where e2train and Gloucestershire Hospitals were awarded Gold for Excellence in the production of learning content within the Public sector.
The Brandon Hall Award winning content comprises of a series of e-Learning modules and an interactive 3D Game. The e2train content team worked closely with essential.genius to develop the innovative game. The resulting module used gaming techniques to teach the basics of the course. The judging criterion assessed seven factors but focused particularly on the interactivity and engagement of the content.
The idea behind the game was encouraged by a client who objected to having to participate in another online multiple-choice test. It is based on a 3D interactive pizza kitchen to assess and teach knowledge on Lean business systems. Judges commented: “We are thrilled to recognise innovative learning of such high quality”.
Within a week, e2train were celebrating again. The E-learning Age awards saw e2train and Gloucester Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust receiving gold for their collaboration which produced innovative content within the public sector.
Gloucestershire NHS was looking to save costs and reduce the time associated with classroom training for delivering its compliance requirements. The e2train content team developed seven e-learning packages, including a critical fire-training course. Each of the courses demonstrated a high level of interaction.
The week was a great success for the e2train content development team. e2train Managing Director Rob Caul was delighted with the 'double'. Commented Rob, “it is a great achievement to be recognised at these award ceremonies as both showcase what can be achieved through innovative learning solutions today. The awards are fiercely competitive with entries from a wide international audience. The double achievement for e2train must be what feels like for an actor to win an Oscar and a Bafta in the same week!”
