European Skills Gap study by IDC predicts 16% shortage of advanced technology skills by 2008

London, UKLearning Newsgtslearning

This skills gap, which includes high level programming skills in applications such as Oracle, will have a knock-on effect on major corporations. Responding to these needs, gtslearning has expanded its Oracle10g certification courseware to include two full tracks for Oracle Certified Professional Database Administrators and Application Developers.

gtslearning, a London-based education solutions provider, has today announced the launch of new courses for the Oracle Certified Professional. Completing training tracks for Database Administrators and Application Developers, the new titles build on gtslearning's growing reputation as a provider of quality Oracle content.

In addition, Oracle has released a free license, free distribution of Oracle10g - the Oracle10g Express Edition. Downloadable from www.oracle.com, this new product makes course delivery easier for non-Oracle learning environments and is the perfect complement to gtslearning courseware.

Robin Adda, Managing Director of gtslearning, commented:
"This year has seen a big growth in Oracle courseware sales. We are delighted that we can now offer a complete training track for Oracle10g certification to training providers.

"Our partnership with the courseware developers,Sideris Courseware Corporation, who themselves represent gtslearning in North America, ensures that we are not just offering latest Oracle content but have a real influence over the availability of new titles.

"Also, the new Oracle10g Express Edition will enable our courseware to be offered by training centres that have previously been unable to deliver Oracle content. It's a win-win situation for our customers as this market continues to grow".
