LONDON, ENGLAND – October 5, 2001 – Robin Adda, Managing Director of GTSLearning plc – a leading international provider of education products and services for the IT sector - has been honored by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) with a prestigious award for service to the technology industry. This annual award was announced today at CompTIA's "Breakaway XChange" event in Orlando, Florida.

The award is presented annually to an individual who has provided outstanding service to the technology industry through service to CompTIA and is in recognition of gtslearning's work with the UK government to gain acceptance of A+ Certification as a vocational qualification.

Robin Adda commented earlier: "Speaking on behalf of the team at gtslearning, we are extremely delighted to receive this award. Over the past three years we have worked tirelessly with the training industry to help the OCR awarding body incorporate A+ Certification into a skills-based qualification that will attract government funding as part of a national skills training program."

"We have enormous faith in A+ Certification as a real-time solution to the IT skills gap crisis and are pleased that we have played a part in the acceptance process."

John Venator, CEO of CompTIA added: "Robin and his team have been instrumental in bringing A+ Certification to the attention of the international marketplace and we applaud gtslearning's efforts to help us gain acceptance of this qualification on a national basis in the UK."

"OCR's vision is to provide innovative qualifications applicable to the real world", said Mary Bennett, Assistant Director of Vocational Assessment at OCR. "The A+ credential demonstrates an individual’s readiness for entry into the workforce and is a certification well recognized and valued by employers across the globe. By offering A+ certification we continue to promote and provide a flexible range of qualifications which recognize the achievements of learners through all phases of life and work."
