Global Knowledge Apprenticeships and Bletchley Park Qufaro launch level four cybersecurity apprenticeship
Bletchley Park Qufaro and Global Knowledge Apprenticeships (GKA), have launched their Level 4 cybersecurity apprenticeship to the market ~ Cybersecurity apprenticeship programme equivalent to foundation degree ~
The decision to introduce a Level 4 apprenticeship programme follows increasing demand from employers who need to build greater in-depth knowledge of the cybersecurity issues facing business today and how best to tackle them.
Dr Budgie Dhanda CEO of Qufaro, explained: “This Cyber Apprenticeship differs from many others in that it not only meets the needs of the apprenticeship standard, but also the National Occupational Standards that were developed jointly by Industry and government. The programme will be predominantly delivered from the iconic location of Bletchley Park, immersing learners in the fantastic heritage and legacy the place brings.
“Qufaro already delivers an Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), accredited by City & Guilds and recognised by the Institute of Information Security Professions (IISP). We are also intent on delivering a Level 3 programme as soon as possible with a trailblazer group already underway and committed to making it happen.”
The cybersecurity apprenticeship programme will be delivered by leading IT and Business Apprenticeship company, Global Knowledge Apprenticeships (GKA). The Pearson, City & Guilds, BCS and EAL accredited centre will, in conjunction with Qufaro, deliver the cybersecurity technical training alongside the soft skills training required to ensure apprentices have the best content and pathway for their respective roles.
Paul Freeman, Director of Education and Talent at GKA said: “These apprenticeships are designed to address the significant cyber skills shortage in the workplace. Latest research shows there will be around 100,000 cybersecurity roles vacant by the year 2022 and we want to provide prospective employers with a truly aspirational programme that develops our future talent and helps futureproof capabilities into the next generation.”
Enrolment for 2019 students has already opened with further information available: Cybersecurity Apprenticeships.
