Global Knowledge wins Training Provider of the Year at itSMF awards 2016

Global Knowledge, worldwide leader in IT and business training is proud to announce that Global Knowledge UK have been awarded Training Provider of the Year 2016.

The recent itSMF UK Awards also honoured Barry Corless, Business Development Director for Best Practice at Global Knowledge with the prestigious Paul Rappaport Award for Outstanding Contribution to ITSM. A host of leading industry figure heads joined Awards finalists in London Heathrow to pay tribute to the service management community’s outstanding achievements. 

"We're delighted to be recognised as the itSMF Training Provider of the Year," said Allan Pettman, Managing Director at Global Knowledge UK. “We are also pleased that Barry was acknowledged for his outstanding contribution to ITSM.” Pettman continued “These awards come from an organisation which prides itself on excellence and they have once again recognised our commitment to providing innovative learning solutions in the Service Management industry.” 

The itSMF Awards recognises outstanding achievement and significant contribution to the world of IT Service Management, showcasing the people and organisations that are at the forefront of the industry. “We congratulate Global Knowledge for its ongoing commitment to Service Management,” said Barclay Rae, CEO at itSMF UK. “We recognise Global Knowledge for their exceptional customer service, range of training resources, outstanding results and innovative approach to training development and delivery. Rae continued “We are also thrilled to award Barry with the Paul Rappaport award for Outstanding Contribution to ITSM. He has made a sustained and outstanding contribution over a number of years to the field of IT Service Management.” 

Barry Corless has been in the IT and Service Management industry for nearly 30 years. He joined the training industry in 1999 and has undertaken a number of roles whilst delivering courses and consultancy in all sectors worldwide. Reflecting on his achievement, Corless said “It’s a great personal honour for me to receive the Paul Rappaport award.  Equally to collect the training provider award on behalf of Global Knowledge and our team of training professionals. I would like to thank everyone involved during the nomination and selection process including the ITSMF UK team.”

Pettman concluded “This award recognises Barry’s personal achievement and professionalism within the IT Service Management industry. He effectively demonstrates the application of IT Service Management best practices, processes and standards both in the classroom and in consultancy engagements to provide ‘real world’ skills and guidance to delegates and customers. The ITSM Awards helps to raise the profile of IT and Service Management training in the industry and recognise its increasing level of professionalism.”
