Bray Leino's BroadSkill division was awarded the Silver Award in the 2010 Training Company of the Year category at the IITT Awards ceremony which took place last night at the Dorchester hotel, London. Alan Bellinger, head of judging for the IITT says 'we were particularly impressed by Bray Leino's ability to exploit the synergy between the training part of the business and other Bray Leino business units - notably marketing and consulting. In addition, its record of exploiting multiple delivery channels and delivering new models are to be applauded. The organisation is clearly meeting the needs of its extensive client base.'

Henry Jodrell, managing director of Bray Leino BroadSkill, says: "This nomination is recognition of the commitment made by our customers, our staff and our experienced team of international trainers. By partnering, they deliver training projects that are helping their staff gain confidence and improve their performance without losing the sense of fun and creativity. It has been shown that training is a real motivator for staff and, after a very tough year in 2009 for many companies, we are seeing an increase in training programmes, coaching and conferences that are designed to lift morale.

"Our industry has come through a tough year in 2009 and the recession has sadly seen one or two fall by the way. On a brighter note the industry is still well served by organisations like Bray Leino BroadSkill that grew by over 6% in 2009, achieved through its focus on customer service and innovation."

Some of the Bray Leino BroadSkill programmes presented to the judges included internet security awareness accessible on YouTube, scene-based workshops for a major retail group, the largest current IT training project in the UK being delivered for the MOD and a 'Resolving Issues' programme for a major government department.

Henry Jodrell adds: "Last year the business saw strong growth in its digital learning solutions. We look forward to 2010 with enthusiasm and passion and thank our customers for their support in 2009."

Bray Leino BroadSkill has seen its training business transform following the merger of Bray Leino Learning and BroadSkill in March 2008 into what is today a leading and growing management and communications skills development business.
