Active since 1974 in the Information & Communication Technology, Italdata is now a group specializing in the development of solutions and services in the areas of Smart Cities, e-Learning and Services for Sustainable Mobility, highly specialized areas where Italdata can boast a leading role on the national and international market.
The company has offices in Milan, Rome and Avellino, with over 70 employees and primary partnership for each specific area of business.
The continuous cooperation of Italdata with prestigious universities and research institutes and participation in research and development international programs contribute to the constant innovation of its services for a closer and more enduring relationship with the customer. Certified ISO 9001: 2008, with the extension to digital services in SAAS (Software As A Service), Cloud Computing and digital training services (e-Learning).
The experience gained in over 40 years has allowed Italdata to develop specific ICT services in various market sector, with a particular attention to the area of industry and advanced services, more sensitive to practices of digital training enterprise security and territorial protection, areas in which Italdata has developed special operational protocols for the introduction and use of the best ICT technologies.
Italdata was founded in 1974 by Siemens and STET with the mission of the research center and manufacturing center of ICT solutions.
Since 1989 it has been active in the Italian market for professional services in software development and ICT projects for Siemens customers.
1995 to 2009 Italdata waa the International competence center Siemens for Mobile Computing and E-Learning.
In 2010 the Company was acquired by Redifin SpA , a private equity, and e-Tekne, an IT company. The new Shareolders invested to reinforce the Italdata mission as a leading player in the Italian market of E-learning and Smart cities solutions.

R&D
Cloud computing, augmented reality, collective intelligence, sensor data networks, data mining, the mobile technologies are utilized by Italdata in the development of its products and services using the most common software platforms. In addition to investing in research, Italdata supports starting innovative initiatives such as the spin-off of University Bicocca in Milan , Sharper Analytics Srl, and the spin-off of University Sannio in Benevento, Knowledge Environment Security Srl. Furthermore, Italdata is member of the Milan Research Consortium partners and the (DATABENC) District high technology for cultural heritage and the (DEC) high-tech District Energy in Campania.
