The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) - the UK's association for sales professionals - is presenting the first in its autumn series of free Business Success Seminars at the De Vere Village in Headingley, Leeds, on 8th September.

Keynote presenters at this seminar are Ashley Latter, who will look at how to gain customer commitment, and Paul McGee, who can provide techniques for developing resilience and persistence.

In his presentation Ashley Latter will outline a seven step approach to ensure that you achieve the perfect appointment. Among other things, these steps should enable delegates to build stronger relationships with their customers; put customers at ease; provide five key questions to uncover thousands of pounds worth of opportunities; influence customers and motivate them to take action, and provide techniques to gain commitment and get the customer to buy.

Then, based on the international best-selling book ‘SUMO: Shut Up, Move On’, Paul McGee will explore:
• How to go beyond positive thinking and develop ‘fruity’ thinking
• How to recover from setbacks and develop resilience and persistence
• The Latin approach to succeeding in business

The ISMM’s Stephen Wright commented: “This evening seminar should be a thought provoking, challenging and entertaining session.”

The seminar begins at 6.15pm with a networking session – with refreshments. The presentations follow, leaving time for more business networking from 8.30pm to 9pm.

The seminar, which is sponsored by Ellis Salsby and De Vere, aims to provide thought-provoking ideas and practical insights for maximising sales and winning new business.

Delegate places are free for ISMM members. Those who are not members of the ISMM but who would like to attend the seminar should contact June Kelly on 01582 840001.

Places must be pre-booked via the ISMM website, at: http://www.ismm.co.uk/events_book.php
