The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) has announced the line-up for its annual conference, Successful Selling.

The Institute of Sales & Marketing Management (ISMM) has announced the line up for its annual conference, Successful Selling. The conference, which takes place at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry, on 20th October, will feature Michael Portillo as headline speaker.

The former Conservative MP and Cabinet Minister, Michael Portillo, will be delivering a speech on ‘The Importance of Selling in today’s Economy’ to help outline the sales profession’s contribution to the economy that is estimated at around £3 trillion per year.

BBC journalist Alice Beer, who will be known to many from presenting the consumer show, Watchdog, with Anne Robinson, will be presenting on ‘What makes an Ethical Sale?’ - where her experiences exposing the wrong side of unethical business trading will help to bring light on the value of good sales practice.

As well as these keynote presentations, there will be plenty for any sales director, manager or professional to take away from the conference. Speakers will be giving away thought leadership that delegates will be able to implement immediately to improve their sales performance.

Presentations to help improve sales performance from leading sales speakers such as Gavin Ingham, Sean McPheat, Don Hutson, Sharon Drew Morgen and Dr Graeme Coddrington will ensure the immediate value to anyone attending the conference.

Stephen Wright, Commercial Director of the ISMM, commented: “We are delighted to announce the line-up for this year’s Successful Selling. The importance of the sales profession is growing among UK business - and the addition of Michael Portillo to the line-up helps to demonstrate the importance of our profession to the political scene.

“The line-up will ensure that every delegate will be able to go away from the conference with new skills and learning to immediately help increase their company’s sales performance. The addition of our break-out sessions gives delegates the opportunity to attend thought-leading seminars on areas in which they may have a particular interest, such as Social Networking or Negotiation.

“This year’s Successful Selling promises to be our best annual conference ever!”

Tickets for Successful Selling cost £268 for non-ISMM members and £216 for members of the ISMM, although the Institute is offering tickets at a discount until 31st August. Tickets also include a three course lunch and entrance to the Sales Management Expo, which is running alongside the conference.

Successful Selling will take place on the 20th October 2011 at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
