The UK’s number 1 online sales skills assessment service, the UK Sales Skills Audit (USSA), has chosen Learning Technologies 2015 to launch additional functionality to its operation, the USSA Licensee Service and the ability to integrate the USSA into HRIS, CRM, and LMS systems via API keys.

After a successful launch in May 2014, the USSA quickly established itself as the leading online sales skills assessment service, offering employers a quick and economical way of evaluating core sales skills levels.

Aligned to NVQ Level two, the USSA can benchmark sales executives, and customer care specialists, against the UK’s national averages and covers the five essential areas of sales: Engaging the Customer; Customer Contact; Negotiating & Closing; Information & Activity Management and Business Skills.

Candidates sit a 35-40 minute assessment and the manager receives their report 60 minutes after.

With the ability to include “Team Dashboards” (a heat map of group strengths and weaknesses) the USSA is ideal for managing larger groups or filtering candidates when interviewing for sales positions.

Up until recently, the USSA has been available exclusively via the Sales Initiative store, www.si-store.com, where users purchase their skills assessments online. However, for managers with higher volumes of sales executives to manage, a more practical solution was required for bulk assessments, prompting Sales Initiative, the operator of the USSA, to launch both a Licensee Service and API integration.

The USSA Licensee Service is particularly well suited for sales training providers with new client evaluation requirements. The system allows users to pre-buy “assessment credits” and evaluate candidates by simply uploading an excel spreadsheet of user names. Furthermore, the Licensee Service also offers “white labelling” of the assessment modules and reports, giving the user their own corporate branding throughout.

For HRIS, CRM or LMS developers looking for new functionality that will make their systems more appealing, the USSA can now be seamlessly integrated into their software via simple use of API keys.

Sales Initiative and its USSA partners, SalesAssessment.com, will be demonstrating this at its stand at Learning Technologies, 133, Olympia, January 2015.

Mark Blezard, Sales Initiative managing director said: “We have been delighted with the uptake of the USSA, every month more and more companies are seeing the benefits of benchmarking their sales staff and revealing their core sales skill levels. You can only manage what you can measure, the USSA gives you a reliable, unbiased report on an individual’s core sales skills for less that £50 and all within 60 minutes. It’s the future for sales recruitment, performance development, and general management.”
