RISC Releases Student and Instructor Apps for Android and iOS

Houston, TXLearning NewsRISC

RISC announced today that the VTA Student and Instructor apps have been released in the Google Play and Apple App stores.

These mobile apps are complementary products to RISC’s award-winning Learning Management Suite. The apps allow RISC users to access high-demand learner functions from their mobile device.

Using the Instructor app, instructors can scan attendees into training sessions, eliminating paper sign-in sheet. In addition, Instructors can update grades/scores, access class documents and email students right from the app.

The Instructor app allows for the management of training sessions scheduled in the VTA Administrator system with the capability of performing conflict and complex pre-requisite checking.

The VTA Student app is designed to ease training administration and empower students to manage their own development. Using the app, students can display a QR code that Instructors can scan to register attendance or enroll in a class.

The RISC Student app also allows users to manage their training schedule, access class documents and email instructors from their Android or iOS device.

“With an increasingly connected and mobile audience, it only makes sense to give learners the tools they need, at their fingertips, when they need them,” said RISC President and CEO Art Werkenthin.

“The addition of the Instructor and Student apps continues RISC’s focus on innovation and efficiency.”

The Instructor and Student apps build on the RISC mobile development library following the 2014 release of RISC PDF Annotator app . RISC’s mobile strategy includes Supervisor and Student 2.0 apps scheduled for release in 2016.
