eLearning Guild’s David Kelly will help learning professionals to stay ahead of the curve at the Learning Technologies Summer Forum in London this June, with a look at virtual and artificial reality, wearables, curation and disruptive technology in learning.

“Technology continues to advance rapidly, changing how we live and interact with the world around us. Today’s learning professionals face a challenge: how to stay ahead of this curve while not slavishly chasing every new technology. Fortunately, we have the eLearning Guild’s David Kelly to guide us through the maze,” said Learning Technologies Summer Forum conference chair, Donald Taylor.

“We love learning technologies – the exciting new stuff that is set to transform how we work, live and learn. But who’s actually using this stuff? And how do you tell the difference between the game-changing new technologies and the gimmicks that are a flash in the pan? This session casts a critical eye over some leading-edge learning technologies, looking at how to distinguish important, disruptive technologies from those that are just hype,” added Taylor.

David Kelly’s Learning Technologies Summer Forum conference session: The now and the next of learning and technology, covers:

  • The common characteristics of truly disruptive technologies
  • Who is using VR and AR and what are they good for?
  • Can wearables really support learning?
  • Whatever happened to curation?
  • How to stay ahead of the technology curve

David Kelly is the Executive Director of The eLearning Guild and has been a learning and performance consultant and training director for more than 15 years.
