In partnership with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, Enterprise Study has been recognised for its outstanding contribution to improving L&D efficiencies and compliance levels in the public sector

Enterprise Study, innovators of a comprehensive learning, compliance and talent management tool, won its first UK Cloud Award at the recent award ceremony. The UK Cloud Awards, sponsored by industry leaders Microsoft and HP Helion, was presented on the 11th March at Plateau in Canary Wharf, to honour the best cloud providers, projects and products from the past year.

Alex Hilton, CEO of the Cloud Industry Forum, said: "The standard of the entries, and ultimate winners, speaks volumes about tech success and innovation in the UK, and serves as a reminder of the dynamic and forward-looking industry we have in this country.”

Steve Hurcombe, Technical Director and Co-Founder of Enterprise Study is delighted with the company’s achievement: “The virtual team, Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust (OUH) and Enterprise Study, have been doing some amazing work and it's very gratifying for their hard work to be recognised by an independent organisation. Really chuffed.”

The winning submission, crafted in partnership with Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, detailed the Trust’s paradigm shift from merely tracking attendance on a training course to measuring competence in a skill, thus negating the need for unnecessary refresher training. This new approach to the delivery of statutory and mandatory training, enabled by Enterprise Study’s robust Learning Management System, has given the Trust far greater flexibility with 24/7, live, web-based reporting, and the ability for staff to self-service. Exceptional patient care is the ultimate goal for OUH, and with numerous savings in time, cost and an increase in compliance levels, they are now setting the benchmark in the NHS.

Ian MacKenzie, Director of Workforce Learning at OUH, extends high praise to Enterprise Study for its contribution to the Trust: “What became apparent early on was that the ES platform gave us the key information and the specifications that we were really looking for. When we launched the product to staff and managers, it was probably one of the most successful projects I have ever managed and the feedback has been amazing.”

He adds: “We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and the NHS Litigation Authority (NHSLA). Not only does ES give us the confidence that our staff are fully compliant and equipped to deliver first class patient care, it helps us reduce the cost of insurance premiums, so we are delivering better quality standards at a reduced cost.”
