Training provider Redtray Solutions is exhibiting its virtual classroom technology CloudRooms at Microsoft’s World Partner Conference 2012

More than 15,000 people from over 150 countries are expected to attend the event held on 8-12 July in Toronto this year.  Redtray Solutions is co-sponsoring the UK partner lounge at WPC and will have a dedicated area to meet with attendees.

“We’re very excited about the event and the opportunity to showcase our cloud-based training solutions to the world. Last year our virtual classroom technology CloudRooms was acknowledged by Microsoft as an original training solution because of its practical exercises – a still-rare feature in a virtual space” says Jeffrey Smithies, channel director at Redtray Solutions.

At the WPC 2011 in Los Angeles, Microsoft Learning general manager Lutz Ziob said, “There is a company that caught our attention with its creativity in using virtual learning technology – Redtray. They are a real example of a business using a cloud-based solution with hands-on labs”, a feature that even Microsoft’s digital solutions were missing last year.

Jon Shepstone, MD at Redtray Solutions, explains “This year we’re hoping our solution will grab the attention of other Microsoft partners by breaking the notion that only a classroom environment can bring about a good value learning experience. We want to show other companies that live online learning is a great alternative to traditional classroom training. With its interactive hands-on lab feature putting fresh knowledge into practice, our virtual classroom can be as effective as any face-to-face training”.

He believes it’s especially important that companies in the UK understand the opportunities live online learning technologies have to offer, as business will be affected by London 2012 Olympic Games in July and August. Soaring hotel prices are already scaring off many organisations, which are either cancelling or postponing their staff’s learning because of the cost of training in the capital this summer.

Since the launch of CloudRooms last year, the solution has brought about a 300% increase in certified staff for an IT company who adopted the learning solution and resulted in a 40% reduction in training costs.
