Acacia renews accessplanit contract for three years; learning administration system instrumental in increasing Acacia's health and social learning business and in targeting new markets in management skills.

Acacia Training and Development, one of the largest non-college based training organisations in the South West, is an established provider of classroom, work based and apprenticeship training in the Health and Social sector.

Delighted with the results from accessplanit's course booking and management system, Acacia has recently extended the relationship with the Lancaster based software development house.

In September 2009, following a period of growth, Acacia invested in an accessplanit training management system to support classroom based training.  The automated course booking and management system supports the co-ordination of training across Acacia's three branches in Taunton, Newton Abbot and Plymouth, ensuring the 12 trainers and 30 venues are utilised effectively, maximising course capacity whilst avoiding any booking duplication.

Hazel Lessiter, Assistant Director at Acacia explains; "accessplanit's training management system provides the management team with business transparency.   Immediate benefits which spring to mind include reduced administration, standardised delegate communication and processes, automated surveys for course evaluation and management information to analyse trends and opportunities across the whole business."

Recently expanding their range of short courses to include generic management skills, Acacia use the system to manage existing candidates and to target additional business across a much wider market sector.    Accurate recording of course awards and renewal dates increases the opportunity to communicate refresher courses or provide prospective candidates with information on additional relevant training.

"Acacia is a great example of how a training business can utilise system benefits such as reduced costs and improved management information to expand into new markets.   We strive towards exceptional customer service to build long term relationships with clients like Acacia.  Success for accessplanit is providing on-going system development and support which assists clients in meeting their organisational goals," added Dave Evans, accessplanit Managing Director.
